We are pleased to announce that Diaverum Singapore has successfully completed its expansion of one of the company’s clinics.

Nestled within Farrer Park Hospital, a prestigious healthcare facility in the heart of the city-state's vibrant Little India neighbourhood, the clinic first opened in 2016.  With an additional 73m2 opening the space to 210m2, Farrer Park Clinic has added 6 more dialysis stations, bringing the total number of stations to 16. This will enable it to provide life-enhancing renal care for up to 96 patients, an increase of almost 40% on its previous capacity . Crucially, the expansion will not only enable Singapore to increase the availability of HDF treatments, but also to offer patients both chair and bed-based dialysis, the latter for the second time in Diaverum Singapore.

This expansion is in direct support of Singapore's ambitious growth strategy, that has a core objective to provide a minimum of 10 dialysis stations within each clinic. The new clinic will be ably supported by 9 highly qualified nurses, that are trained to provide dialysis treatments in acute settings and will in turn, allow the treatments offered at Farrer Park to include CRRT, as well as HD and HDF. In addition, the clinic is already fully TGS-enabled, in line with Diaverum's vision for using digital innovation to provide personalised, standardised, efficient and high-quality care.

Commenting on the news, Venanssa Goh, Country Manager for Diaverum Singapore, said: "This expansion of Farrer Park Clinic marks an incredible achievement for our team, particularly when considering how challenging securing space for dialysis centre operations in Singapore can be. Thanks to our collective hard work and perseverance, not only are we able to welcome our current patients back home to a new and improved environment, but also expand our ability to offer life-enhancing renal care."

Hervé Gourgouillon, Regional Vice-President for West Europe and Southeast Asia, added: "I am proud and delighted in equal measure to see this expansion come to fruition; it's an important step in our mission towards building a network of advanced, fully equipped clinics across Singapore that in combination with Diaverum's world-class clinical and medical standards, will serve local CKD patients for many years to come".

This news marks the latest in a series of achievements for Singapore, who earlier this year opened its first denovo clinic in Fajar. Since Diaverum entered the market in November 2020 it has established a solid presence, with a total of 11 clinics across the country and 97 staff caring for 530 patients.
